Shelly Bloom
Shelly Bloom joined Silverman preschool and the Tifereth community in June 2023, but has been an early childhood educator for more than 15 years.
Born in Massachusetts and raised largely in Pennsylvania, Shelly moved to California after college in the early 2000s. Shelly was active in her synagogue choir and youth group growing up as well as attending JCC camp for many years, and then working there as a young adult.
Shelly earned her BA in English from Muhlenberg college in Pennsylvania, then went back to school years later for her early childhood units realizing that the field is where her heart lies. Shelly loves teaching, lives for the lightbulb moments that come with it, and is passionate about being in Jewish early education where she can not only help foster a love for learning, but a love and pride for Judaism. In her spare time, when not crocheting, Shelly loves singing and listening to music and spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
Noa Iovine
Noa Iovine joined our Silverman Preschool and Tifereth Israel family in January of 2022. Noa was born in Israel and moved to California at the age of 7. In high school she joined BBYO (B’nai B’rith Youth Organization) a Jewish teen movement aspiring to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. She became the chapter Morah (teacher) and quickly fell in love with the Jewish culture and teaching. This lead her in the direction of Child Development.
Noa has her Bachelors from CSUN in Child Development with an emphasis in child psychology and a site supervisor permit. With over 20 years of experience in Child Development, Noa loves educating the little minds of tomorrow’s future. Introducing the Jewish culture at a young age into the hearts and homes of families is the most important thing for her. Noa enjoys hosting holiday parties where she can show off her charcuterie board skills. She also loves spending her free time with her three daughters and husband watching football and Soccer or cheering on her own girls at their own sporting events. Noa and her husband Dan are raising their family with the same morals and values that she is teaching everyday at Silverman Preschool.
Daniella Knelman
Daniella is a Southern California native who grew up in Los Angeles and Orange County and has called San Diego home for more than 20 years. She earned her bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Communication from UC San Diego, followed by a master's degree in Higher Education Leadership from the University of San Diego.
After more than a decade working in the Jewish nonprofit and higher education sectors, Daniella joined her husband, Evan, in co-leading Minimal Chaos, their web design and communications agency that helps small businesses and nonprofit organizations establish and strengthen their online presence.
Outside of work, Daniella enjoys spending time with her husband, Evan (who was Bar-Mitzvahed at Tifereth!), and their two sons, Riley (11) and Kaleb (8), both graduates of Silverman Preschool. When she's not working or keeping up with the joyful chaos of family life, you'll likely find her running through one of San Diego's scenic neighborhoods, reading a good book, or enjoying coffee and conversation with friends.
