A community you can call home
Tifereth Israel Synagogue (TIS) is an inclusive Conservative Jewish congregation in San Diego, weaving together Jewish life, learning, and community. For over 100 years, TIS has been a spiritual home for people of all backgrounds, welcoming individuals and families of to celebrate, learn, grow, and belong.
We are proud to be fully egalitarian and affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ). Our community includes interfaith households, LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, Jews-by-choice, spiritual seekers, and anyone looking for a meaningful connection to Jewish life.
TIS is large enough to offer diverse experiences, from daily minyanim and vibrant holiday celebrations to dynamic educational programs for all ages, and small enough to feel like family. Whether you're deepening your Jewish practice, showing up with questions, or simply looking for community, there's a place for you here.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our spiritual life, educational offerings, and programming. Or better yet, join us in person for services, an event, or just to say hello.
Questions? Reach out to Beth Klareich, our Program Director. We’d love to welcome you.
