At Silverman Preschool in San Diego, we believe the Preschool years should be filled with joyful learning, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for children to discover who they are. Our Preschool Program provides a nurturing, play-based environment where children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically through hands-on exploration and meaningful experiences. Guided by Jewish values of kindness, respect, community, and gratitude, children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, build friendships, and develop confidence as capable learners.
Learning through play
Play is the heart of everything we do. Through carefully planned experiences and child-led exploration, children investigate the world around them while developing the skills they need for future success.
Whether they are building with blocks, creating works of art, experimenting with science, planting in the garden, cooking together, exploring nature, or pretending in dramatic play, children are constantly developing language, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence. Our classrooms inspire curiosity while allowing children the freedom to explore, imagine, and grow at their own pace.
Curriculum
Our preschool curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child while preparing children for future academic success in a developmentally appropriate way. Based in San Diego near Cowles Mountain, we serve families in San Carlos, La Mesa, Del Cerro, Allied Gardens, College Area, Fletcher Hills, Santee, and surrounding communities.
