Pray at the Park

July & August

Join us for a joyful, musical Kabbalat Shabbat experience with nature as our sanctuary. We’ll gather outdoors for song, spirit, and a relaxed, family-friendly service. All ages are welcome to celebrate Shabbat with open hearts and open skies. We invite everyone to bring a dairy or pareve picnic dinner, blanket or lawn chair, and we provide grape juice, challah, and cookies. Also, there’s a nearby playground that’s always a hit with the kids. Check our calendar for upcoming dates.

Saturday Morning Shabbat Services

9:30 a.m. every Saturday

Our Saturday morning services blend prayer with study, led by clergy and congregants to create a meaningful and personal experience. Bar and bat mitzvah students are encouraged to participate in leading, and as a proudly egalitarian community, women take a full and active role in all parts of the service and leadership.

Children & Families Welcome

Children of all ages are always welcome at TIS! In addition to our regular services, we offer childcare and youth programming beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Children join the congregation for the beginning of the Torah service, where they have the special opportunity to help escort our Torahs throughout the congregation.

Following the Torah service, Rabbi Hanan gathers with children and families for a brief, joyful family-friendly service. There’s singing, dancing, storytelling, and plenty of ruach (spirit)—a wonderful way for our youngest members and their families to experience Shabbat together!

Join us for Kiddush & Lunch

Following services, everyone is invited to enjoy Kiddush and a warm Shabbat lunch prepared with care by our dedicated Shabbat Hot Lunch volunteers. Plus, once a month, Rabbi Hanan makes his famous cholent, a comforting Ashkenazi beef stew, along with a vegetarian option.

Sponsor & Participate

Whether you're marking a birthday, anniversary, new baby, wedding, or any joyful milestone, we’d be honored to celebrate with you! Sponsoring a Friday night Oneg or a Shabbat lunch is a beautiful way to bring your celebration into the heart of our community with food, blessings, and togetherness.
