Imagine yourself being transported to a completely different part of the world. The air is warm and filled with unfamiliar scents of spices, incense, food and flowers. Everywhere you look, bustling markets come alive, motorcycles weave through traffic, and ancient buildings stand alongside the energy of modern life.
Between the hustle and bustle of the city, you have landed in India, a place shaped by thousands of years of history, traditions, cultures, landscapes and religions. Among them are several historic Jewish communities that have survived, adapted and flourished, reminding us that Jewish life has never existed in only one place or one culture.
Experience a night in the sukkah as we dwell, “Bollywood Style” and enjoy an Indian-themed three-course dairy meal and beverages thoughtfully prepared for a Jewish crowd, featuring mild flavors. We'll also explore the fascinating history of the Jews of India, followed by an exciting professional Bollywood performance.
This will be a night to remember as we embark on another journey celebrating Sukkot around the world!
