Rabbi Hanan will lead Family Services during the High Holy Days. One on the first day or Rosh Hashana (Thursday, October 3rd) and the other on Yom Kippur (Saturday, October 12th). Both will be held on the back patio just outside the Social Hall. Following Family Services, programming for youth (grades K-7) and teens (grades 8-12) will take place. See below for details.
Each service will be interactive, focusing on the highlights of each prayer service, while allowing families to explore the meaning of the holiday.

Students in grades Gan – Zayin (K – 7)
Tuesday, September 23rd, Wednesday, October 24th, and Thursday, October 2nd
10:15 a.m. – the conclusion of our main service
Students will be divided into two groups; Gan- Gimel (K-3) and Dalet- Zayin (4-7) for activities that will include:
- Age appropriate discussions, book reading
- Games and Drama
- Rosh Hashana Seder (did you know that there are specific symbols (Simanim) for a Rosh Hashana Seder?
- Apple and Honey tasting (What is your favorite species of apple, or flavor of honey?)
- How do we say I’m sorry? What am I sorry for? How am I different from last year and what will I be like next year?
- Special Jonah and the whale activity
- Jewpardy…and more
Teens in grades 8 – 12
Tuesday, September 23rd and Thursday, October 2nd
10:15 a.m. – the conclusion of our main service
Teens will take a deep dive into
- Learning about the meaning of the High Holy Days in the Jewish tradition
- Exploring the spiritual significance of various High Holy Day practices
- Studying texts that unpack the themes of celebration, judgment, repentance, and renewal
- Reflecting on and discussing the personal relevance of these themes
- Participating in a Rosh Hashana Seder
