Delivery locations: Local first responder stations
For many of us, the December holidays are a time for vacation and relaxation. But what about our local first responders? They're working hard through it all. This special Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) initiative invites you to show your appreciation for these heroes: the firefighters, police officers, and hospital emergency room workers whose commitment knows no bounds.
How does it work?
- Donate supplies by Monday, December 29th (you can drop them off at TIS during normal business hours).
- Not able to shop? Make a monetary donation by Friday, December 26th and we'll do the shopping! Click here to make your donation.
- On December 30th, we'll gather in the morning to prepare festive baskets filled with goodies and heartfelt notes of thanks (10:00 -11:15 a.m.).
- Then, we'll divide up to deliver them in person to first responders working throughout the neighborhood (11:15 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.).
This event is open to TIS members of all ages! We hope you'll join us.
