Our 50th Season - 2023-2024

TICO Celebrates its Fiftieth Anniversary

The 60 member Tifereth Israel Community Orchestra will start the beginning of its golden anniversary with very exciting programming and outstanding soloists. Each concert of this season will feature a famous and beloved SYMPHONY NO. 5.

The following concerts are at our home, the Cohen Social Hall of Tifereth Israel.

Sunday concerts are at 3:00 p.m., and Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.:

  • Sunday, December 3rd & Tuesday, December 5th
    Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos, and other works by Borodin, and Marquez.
  • Tuesday, February 6th, 2024
    Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5, a Vivaldi concerto for 4 violins, and the popular Israeli tone poem, EMEK.
  • Sunday, April 14th & Tuesday, April 16th, 2024
    Just two works, the Fifth Symphony by Shostakovitch, and Beethoven’s monumental Fifth Piano Concerto, “The Emperor”.
  • Sunday, June 16th and Tuesday, June 18th, 2024
    Schubert’s Symphony No. 5, Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, Prokoffiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes, and a surprise new work which we guarantee will be memorable.
  • Sunday, August 4th, 2024
    Our annual Pops Concert of lighter music for the entire family.

Conductor David Amos and Assistant Conductor Robert Zelickman, welcome everyone to attend concerts of this most special season.

  • Sunday, November 26th, 3:00 p.m.
    Lawrence Family JCC in La Jolla
    The same program as the December concerts, but as featured soloist violinist Martin Chalifour, Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, playing the Violin Concerto by Mendelssohn.

    First United Methodist Church of Chula Vista
    Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5, a Vivaldi concerto for 4 violins, and the popular Israeli tone poem, EMEK.

Tickets can be purchased at the door.

  • General admission - $25.00
  • Child & Student (with valid ID) - $10.00
